The design process begins with an initial meeting between the landscape architect and the owner; visions, goals and expectations are discussed and the site is visually surveyed. A formal proposal is written by Verdant Enterprises which includes a preliminary estimation of services and fees. Following approval, preparation of the digital base map is completed utilizing a topographical and tree survey.
before during and after photos during the project implementation phase.

What makes Verdant Enterprises unique is the amount of time spent on the site augmenting the surveyor’s base map with the environmental nuances found on the site. Each site is studied in depth, while recording ecotypes, noting unique plant communities and analyzing site strengths and constraints. This information is then digitally recorded to form the inventory and analysis, which is the base of the design process to follow.
